Barbara Winter
Community VolunteerBiography
Barbara retired as an EVP and the chief community officer at Ent Credit Union. She has been involved as a board member or leader with many organizations including Executive Women International, Discover Goodwill, Silver Key Senior Services, Penrose-St. Francis Hospital, Pikes Peak United Way, Pikes Peak YMCA, Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center, and BBVA Bank. She currently serves on the boards of Embrave/ComCor, Pioneers Museum Foundation, CU Foundation, 2C road committee, community advisory committee of the PPRTA, Manitou Springs Urban Renewal Authority, and Chancellor's Leadership Class (CLC). She also serves on the Southern Colorado region committee of Children’s Hospital. Barbara has been an active member of the CLC board at UCCS for more than 18 years and served on the advisory committee of the new Ent Center for the Arts on the UCCS campus. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Colorado State University.

Barbara lives in Manitou Springs, CO, with her husband, David Carpenter. Their daughter is an alumna of the CU Anschutz Medical Campus with a degree in Nursing and currently is an R.N. at Porter Adventist Hospital in Englewood, after working at the University of Colorado Hospital and Duke Medical Center in NC. Barbara has also been recognized for her leadership by the Southern Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce, the Colorado Council of Girl Scouts, Colorado Springs Business Journal, Pikes Peak YMCA, the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce, and Leadership Pikes Peak.
