Frequently Asked Questions, Chancellor's Leadership Class

Chancellor's Leadership Class Application

We highly recommend that your student communicates directly with the CLC Office if they have questions about the program rather than having a parent ask questions on their behalf. We want to get to know your student before and during the selection process to evaluate their professionalism and interest in the program.

Attention to detail, having a winning attitude, and professionalism are all very important to us in CLC.

You will find the application in your portal under the financial aid tab.  Select “Apply for and Accept UCCS Scholarships".

If you are selected as a finalist, you will be invited to participate in CLC Interview Day, where you will register for a 15-minute virtual interview that will take place over Zoom sometime between 8:00 am - 1:00 pm Mountain Standard Time. CLC Interview Day is typically scheduled on a Friday in early March.

From out-of-state? No problem! All finalist interviews take place in virtual format over Zoom in Mountain Standard Time. We encourage finalists to consider possible time zone differences when scheduling their 15-minute interview. If you have additional questions about the interview process, please contact the CLC Office at clc@uccs.edu or (719) 255-3215.

We are looking for your professionalism and candor. Your application should be free of spelling and grammatical errors. Your commitment to leadership, service and your personality should shine through. You should also demonstrate knowledge about the program, what you can contribute to it, and why you want to be a scholar of CLC.

Absolutely! With few exceptions, CLC scholars are able to receive additional funding from as many internal and/or external sources as they are able to secure. We encourage you to visit the UCCS Financial Aid webpage for other scholarship opportunities: https://finaid.uccs.edu/.
